Honoring the Moment of Success

Los Arango tequila is inspired by doing what is right over what is popular, and crafted to revel in all of life’s victories in honor of the revolutionary spirit in us all. Jose Doroteo Arango, perhaps better known as Pancho Villa, earned the respect of his people when he defended them against the tyrants of the Mexican Revolution in 1820. So they honored him with the crafting of this tequila which took on his family name.

A Vibrant Tradition

Hacienda Corralejo

The Hacienda where we craft our tequila, originally built in 1700, is located just outside of Pénjamo, Mexico. It is surrounded by blue weber agave as far as the eye can see, and the native Sabino tree after which the town is named. Outside its intricate brick walls, the vibrant culture of Mexico comes to life before our eyes: markets with fruit of every color, friendly conversation, and spiced aromas wafting from open doorways. And so this lively culture is infused into every bottle of Los Arango tequila that we’re honored to share with you.

Perfection in the Imperfection

Los Arango tequila is made exclusively from the ancient blue weber agave plant, harvested after 8 to 12 years of growth in Guanajuato, Mexico. After 38 hours of slow cooking in adobe clay ovens followed by a 12 hour rest, we ferment our tequila using a specialty strain of yeast developed in-house. Then we utilize the Charentais double distillation method to make each small batch of Los Arango tequila in the traditional way. Finally, each batch is bottled in blown glass in the same location it was made and finished by hand, resulting in a one-of-a-kind bottle of tequila that reflects the unique factors of its time and place.
